The problem
Everything lived on a Facebook page. The work was good and there was ten years of it, but no way to look through it in order, and nothing that turns up when somebody searches for a joiner.
What I did
- Twelve jobs as a real gallery, each one with what it cost and how long it took.
- A quote form that asks for the three things needed to price a job, and nothing else.
- Service area, insurance and trade registration on the page, not buried in an About.
- Photographs served at the size they display, so the gallery opens on a site visit.
What it proves
The same standards as paid work: a performance budget it has to come in under, WCAG 2.2 AA as a floor rather than a finish, and no page that takes six seconds on a phone. Nobody briefed this and nobody signed it off, which is the honest limit of what a concept can show you.
