Privacy
What this site knows about you.
Short version: almost nothing. No cookies, no tracking pixels, no advertising networks, and nothing shared with anyone who wants to sell you something.

Who is responsible
Onward Creations is a sole trader business run by Nick Ward in Leeds, West Yorkshire. I am the data controller for anything collected through this website. You can reach me at [email protected] or on 07700 900123.
PENDING: COMPANY DETAILS. Once the limited company is formed, the registered name, company number and registered office address belong here and in the footer. Until then this page correctly describes a sole trader.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies at all. Not necessary ones, not analytics ones, not advertising ones. That is why there is no cookie banner. There is nothing to consent to. If you ever see a consent pop-up on this domain, something has gone wrong and I would like to know about it.
Analytics
There is currently no analytics running on this site at all. When it is added it will be a cookieless, privacy-first tool that counts page views without building a profile of you, without a cookie and without sending anything to an advertising network. That is a deliberate constraint rather than a nice-to-have: the moment analytics needs consent, the site needs a banner, and I would rather have neither.
PENDING: ANALYTICS CHOICE. PLAN.md §9 shortlists Plausible and Umami. When one is installed, name it here, say where it processes data and link its own privacy page. Until then this section must keep saying there is none.
If you send me a message
If you email me, ring me, or fill in a form on this site, I hold what you send: your name, your contact details, and whatever you tell me about your business or your project.
- Why: to reply to you and, if we work together, to do the work.
- Lawful basis: legitimate interests for replying to an enquiry you started, and performance of a contract once there is one.
- How long: enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted within twelve months. Client records are kept for six years after the last invoice, because HMRC requires it.
I do not add you to a mailing list, I do not sell or share your details, and I do not send marketing to people who asked me a question.
Who else touches your data
As few people as I can manage. The ones that genuinely exist are:
- Netlify
- Hosts this website and handles form submissions. Standard server logs, including IP addresses, are kept briefly for security and abuse prevention.
- My email provider
- Carries and stores messages between us, in the same way any email provider does.
There is no CRM, no marketing automation, no chat widget, no advertising pixel and no embedded third-party fonts or scripts. The typefaces are served from this domain, which is one of the reasons there is nothing to disclose here.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask me for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, object to me holding it, or ask for it in a portable format. Email me and I will do it within one month, usually the same week, and it will not cost you anything.
If you are not happy with how I have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. I would rather you told me first, but you do not have to.
Changes to this page
If what the site does changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. There is no version of that where the site starts collecting something and this page finds out later.
